Kajal's Story

Kajal was in Calcutta India. Her stepmother intentionally blinded her by pouring acid into her eyes. She became totally blind and was then abandoned in a train station. A Christian social work group called Society of Underprivileged People, or SOUP for short, rescued Kajal in the train station and found that she was severely damaged and totally blind. Again, guided by Christian principles and the loving hearts of Christian brothers and sisters, Kajal was rescued and then the group began searching around the world for a surgical team that could restore Kajal's sight. Dr. Wang performed one surgery and improved her vision.

The blind get helping hand in Nashville

Nashville, Tennessee (Reuters) - The tiny, 5-year-old girl from Calcutta is called Kajal. She is blind because an angry stepmother poured acid in her eyes in a now distant spat in her homeland. She has come to this country music capital as have hundreds before her from across the United States and more than 50 other countries for a chance that her sight might be returned at The Wang Foundation for Sight Restoration. Dr. Ming Wang helped establish the foundation in 2003 to treat without charge cases of corneal blindness through a combination of transplants and laser treatments.

Little Margarette – A Valentine Story

(Nashville, TN, 2/14/09) On this Valentine’s Day, we present a touching story of Margarette, a Haitian orphan girl who nearly died from malnutrition and is now going blind, a precious child who was brought to America (specifically Nashville, TN) by a Nashvillian missionary and his team, as well as the help of a US Senator, a kind-hearted dentist and an eye doctor.

God Has Created This World, and It Is Without Contradictions

--- my personal testimony as a scientist and as a Christian

Ming Wang, M.D., Ph.D.

I would like to first speak briefly about China, the Chinese Cultural Holocaust, and Christianity.  I will talk about China and describe the cultural holocaust, the status of Christianity in China, and I'd like to tell you how I became a Christian, and the two lessons that I've learned in life through being a Christian.

The first lesson is, God does have a plan for each of us, even though the plan may not be apparent to each of us at the time.  The second lesson I'd like to share with you is God has created this world without contradiction.  It may appear to be contradictory to us at times, because we don't know better.  So His challenge to all of us is to keep the faith, work hard, do our part, and always firmly believe that He will reveal Himself to us if we truly believe in Him.
