Lynda Evjen brings broad experience in strategic business development, public relations, advertising and marketing.
Ms. Evjen was founder and CEO of The Buzbee Group; a California based company that developed sales campaigns, collateral and market strategies for Fortune 500 companies. She has also held executive positions in marketing and business development at MED-COR, a nationwide staff outsourcing company for hospitals, which she co-founded in 1983. As Executive Vice President of MED-COR, she led market research and impacted business growth to over $40M. Evjen’s duties included working with American Medical Records associations on ground breaking marketing campaigns for each state.
She has been awarded AAUW’s Women in Leadership Award 2009, Optimist of the Year 2008, Nashville Business Journal’s The Women of Influence Award in 2008, Women Making A Mark Award in 2007 and Outstanding Professional from AFP both in 2005 and 2006. She is active in the community, sits on several non-profit/corporate boards, and has been appointed to Assembly member Rebecca Cohen’s Arts Commission for the State of California and the Tennessee Visitors Commission by Governor Bredesen.
Ms. Evjen has served as a board member or advisory board member on the boards of privately held and not-for-profit companies and holds a B.F.A. from Midwestern University and an M.B.A. from University of Texas.
