Dr. David Shen, a New York City native, has been involved in vision and eyecare for nearly 20 years. He performed his undergraduate studies at the Ivy League campus of Cornell University and went on to receive his Doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley (Valedictorian). He subsequently performed his residency in ocular disease at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Dr. Shen has held faculty positions at the University of California, Berkeley and became Founder and Director of Optometric Services at the Vanderbilt Laser Sight Center with Dr. Ming Wang in 1999. As residents of Franklin, Dr. Shen along with his wife, Wendy, are greatly enthused about being part of the extraordinary fabric of the Franklin community. We look forward to taking care of the visual and eyecare needs of members of this beautiful community over the coming years!
